Cat Tower
Does your kitty have a cat tower? If not, why not make her one? You can turn an old stepladder into a great cat tower in just a few minutes. Add planks to the steps to widen them out into kitty lounging spots, and then wrap the whole thing in carpet or sisal rope. This also works with bookcases and metal storage racks. If you’re really motivated, you can even start from scratch, and make your feline buddy a tower out of PVC pipe, lumber, or a real tree!
Bed
Cats are very diligent about making sure they get their beauty rest. As far as Fluffy is concerned, there’s just no such thing as too many beds or napping spots! You can turn a hatbox, hard-shell suitcase, or wicker basket into a cute bed for your sleepy pet. Or, take the doors off an enclosed end table and use that. Use paint, varnish, or stencils to make it look nice, then just add some soft bedding.
Window Seat
Kitties love to sunbathe and watch birds and squirrels. To make your furry little voyeur a comfy spot where she can relax and spy on local wildlife, attach a smooth board to your windowsill to widen it out. You can use Velcro to attach a pet bed. To make this even more fun for Fluffy, put a birdfeeder up where she can see it.
Box Castle
Our feline pals certainly do love boxes! Why not make Fluffy her own little box castle? You can keep it simple, or go all out and add multiple stories, turrets, and balconies.
Kitty Tent
Cats often feel safer in enclosed spaces. You can use an old tee shirt and hanger to make your furry pal a pet tent in just a few minutes. This is a great option for kitties that are shy or easily frightened!
